A Year of Stories, Seasons & Traditions......
Curriculum for Ages 4–6| Sing, Play & Create
( 1-hour Sunday class)
For our youngest learners, Mandarin begins with experience. Children encounter the language through rhythm, repetition, stories, songs, movement, imaginative play, art, and seasonal activities.
Listen:
Stories, nursery rhymes, sounds of nature, and everyday Mandarin
Speak:
Simple greetings, conversations, songs, and language games
Move:
Rhythm, finger plays, movement, and body-based activities
Create:
Painting, handwork, natural materials, and seasonal art
Play:

As children grow, their relationship with language becomes richer and more expressive. Through stories, conversation, reading, writing, music, art, and cultural exploration, students gradually develop greater confidence and independence in Mandarin.

Our Team

Ms. Ma
XIAO KE TANG Initiator / Lead Teacher
Born and raised in Shanghai. Ms. Ma graduated from East China Normal University with a degree in Arts Education. She is a lifelong and enthusiastic educator, Chinese hammered dulcimer musician, Chinese culture facilitator, and co-founder of InterGrowth Foundation. She completed both Waldorf Elementary Teacher Education with Music Specialization and World Language & Culture Teacher Education at Sunbridge Institute and currently serves as the 2nd and 3rd Grade Mandarin Teacher at Green Meadow Waldorf School. Her teaching brings together language, music, arts, Chinese culture, and Waldorf-inspired education to create meaningful and engaging learning experiences for children.

Ms. Rung
XIAO KE TANG Teaching Artist
Born and raised in Taiwan, Ms. Rung is an alumna of the first Waldorf school in Taiwan. After graduating from Waldorf high school, she completed four years of full-time eurythmy training in Berlin, Germany. She then spent seven years pursuing a professional career as a eurythmy performer. She also spent two years working in upper grades pedagogy at Green Meadow Waldorf School. Ms. Rung currently serves as the High School Eurythmy Teacher and 6th Grade Mandarin Teacher at Green Meadow. She is also an active member of the Eurythmy Spring Valley Ensemble, which performs regularly within the Threefold community and tours throughout the United States and internationally.

$40 per student (non-refundable)

Ages 7–9: $1,350/year

Please note: tuition includes approximately 31 Sunday sessions, curriculum materials, and hands-on cultural and artistic activities.
Refund Policy :

For all the students, to have discount tuition and registration fee waived, payment must be received in full by September 10, 2026.

Tuition refund on withdrawal is 75% within 2 weeks after the first day of school, 50% within 5 weeks after the first day of school, 0% after the 5th week of school. Registration fees are non-refundable.
Payment Options:
We offer several convenient payment options, including Zelle, check, and PayPal. After completing registration, families will receive an invoice within 1–2 business days with the total amount due, applicable discounts, payment schedule, and detailed payment instructions.
