About the Event

Event Highlight:

Learn how to “read” visual language and what artistic elements mean in order to support your child through deeper observation and empathy.

About speaker:

Yi Chen Graduated from Tsinghua University, with over 30 years of experience in art education. She has taught art in public schools, private schools, and Waldorf schools. Her work spans drawing instruction for various age groups, including elementary and secondary school students as well as adults.

She is primarily dedicated to studying and analyzing the language of drawing to better understand the physical and psychological development of artists—especially children. Through this work, she helps students cultivate an aesthetic sensibility that supports their overall well-being and broadens their perspectives.

She also offers training programs in drawing analysis for educators, supporting frontline teachers in integrating child observation with visual language expression, and helping parents and teachers gain a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of children’s growth…
